How can I open an .atn file with CS6?

  • psdcovers

After you download the Action you will need to uncompress it (all Actions are zipped). Once the Action has been uncompressed you only need to double-click on the Action and it will install itself.

Steps 1 to 3 in the following tutorial show how that works. The .atn’s get loaded into the Action palette (they don’t open as documents). How to access the Action palette and run the Actions are also in the tutorial below.

I’ve just tried this, and the source/screenshot isn’t cropped properly. It overflows down to the phone past the screen).

Hi Quin, there are a few possible causes for this to happen:

    1) Your source material is a smart object which extends beyond the document bounds (please rasterize before rendering) — I plan to have a fix for that issue in a Photoshop panel to be released soon.

    2) You are using CC2014.1.0 — see this post: http://www.psdcovers.com/photoshop-cc-2014-1-0-canvas-dpi-bug/

If neither of these is the problem then we can review it further.

It was the same image for Thunderbolt001 and Jesuspad10, yet I didn’t have a problem with them – they came out fine, following the exact same steps as I did for this one.

Raterising did the trick! Yay! Thank you :-)
